This weekend, I was lucky enough to perform at two beautiful weddings, both delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Firstly, the wedding party of Rebecca and Matt. I was delighted to be part of their small ceremony back in April and was invited back to perform at their after-party this weekend. The event took place at the White Bull in Alston and was a small but friendly affair. For their daytime entertainment, I provided low-key piano and vocals with a selection of songs chosen by the Bride and Groom. For the evening, a lively performance for dancing (which was nice to have back after so long) and DJ Service!
Rebecca & Matt – Preston
The second event of the weekend was the long-awaited wedding of Nichola and Vaughan at Holdsworth House in Halifax, West Yorkshire. Due to get married originally in September 2020, but delayed to August 2021, it was a beautiful day. With fantastic weather, a stunning venue, and friendly guests. For this wedding, I performed their very special songs at the ceremony chosen by the couple for the entrance and exits, and also some background piano and vocals for their wedding breakfast with a selection of songs chosen by the happy couple.
It was nice to perform at a wedding in Yorkshire, as I work all across the UK and often find myself in the far corners of the country. Beautiful weather is also a rarity in the Yorkshire dales so it was brilliant for the couple to be blessed with such amazing sunshine for their outdoor ceremony in the courtyard.
