I am lucky to have performed in many venues across the county of Yorkshire over the last 15 years. Yorkshire is full to bursting with amazingly beautiful venues and locations. If you are looking for the perfect Yorkshire venue, here are some of the top 10 Yorkshire Wedding Venues I have had the pleasure of performing at…
Waterton Park Hotel – Wakefield

“Magical! Your wedding is very special, to us as well as you. Whether it’s a lavish affair for up to 145 or an intimate party for lower guest numbers as few as 6, you can tie the knot and celebrate in either the historic Walton Hall on the island or the more modern Waterton Park Hotel. Both share the same beautiful landscape – a perfect backdrop for your photographs with an idyllic lakeside setting. From start to finish, we are here to hold your hand throughout all the decision making helping to make this day the day of your dreams.”
Waterton park features two beautiful venues – the main hotel and the house across the water. A stunning location in beautiful rural surroundings steeped in history. I have performed here on a number of occasions and not only is it an amazing location – the staff are incredibly helpful.
The Woodman Inn – Thunderbridge
“Our 18th century inn, set in an idyllic location, is the perfect setting for your romantic fairytale wedding.
Nestling in the foothills of the South Pennines, our beautifully refurbished country inn offers superb food, a stunning woodland setting for your wedding photographs and videos, impeccable service and unrivalled attention to every detail. Add to that the peace and the tranquillity of the Yorkshire countryside and you have the makings of a perfect picture book wedding.”
The Woodman is one of my favourite venues and I have been back here time and time again. The events manager, Jordan, is super helpful, approachable and will guarantee you the best day of your life. Excellent food, a stunning location with a beautiful private garden that is like stepping into a story!
Manor House -Lindley
“From the moment you step inside, your adventure begins. Let us take you on a wonderful tour of our beautiful hotel and event spaces, each entirely unique, yet entirely perfect. Floral heaven, art deco glamour and prohibition moods, we have it all and more. The Manor House boasts the most spectacular of indoor and outdoor spaces to host the wedding of your dreams.
There are six licensed rooms to choose from to host the ceremony or for a more traditional service, the beautiful St Stephen’s Church is just across the road. The Manor House is a wedding photographers dream offering grandeur, style and decadence alongside quaint green spaces and lots of natural light.”
This venue is very local to me, and what was once a dilapidated and unloved building at risk of collapse, has been developed and turned into the most romantic and beautiful of spaces. With a whopping SIX licences venues to choose from, the Manor House is versatile, luxurious and stunning.

Bagden Hall – Huddersfield
“For the most important day of your life, you will want a wedding that will more than measure up to your dreams.
From the moment you sweep up the impressive woodland drive, the grand atmosphere of this Victorian country house will lend an air of excitement and expectation to your day.
Bagden Hall is set in 40 acres of stunning grounds with commanding views over the West Yorkshire countryside. For couples looking to hold their wedding close to Huddersfield, Wakefield, Dewsbury or Barnsley we are the ideal venue.“
I have to say, I may be a little biased with this venue as I GOT MARRIED HERE! But I have first-hand experience and honestly, I couldn’t recommend it enough. The weddings team were so helpful, everything was organised with great food, excellent accommodation and beautiful surroundings.
Holdsworth House – Halifax
“We’ve hosted weddings for nearly 60 years and we know how to turn a good wedding into a great one. Choose a wedding package or design your own, anything is possible at Holdsworth House and our competitive prices might surprise you. Whether you want a small wedding venue for 10 or a big wedding reception for 120 guests, yours will be the only wedding on the day.“

“Based in the heart of picturesque Wetherby and set in a converted Grade II listed building, The Engine Shed has been superbly renovated to create a truly unique venue with a really special atmosphere. We will do everything we can to help tailor the day to meet your exact requirements, in a warm, friendly, and professional way.“
If you are looking for something quirky and unusual, The Engine Shed is miles away from the typical country house wedding. It’s an exciting, rustic venue with open spaces, a bar area on the balcony, and a beautiful ceremony setting. Crossing industrial with rustic, The Engine Shed is a special venue perfect for hosting weddings and events.
Saltmarshe Hall – Howden
“All reception rooms inside the Hall are licensed for weddings, but how about complementing this with an outdoor ceremony? With acres of beautiful grounds, you can guarantee a unique celebration. From a serene woodland setting or under a canopy of blossom trees, there are endless options for a perfect ceremony. Our promise is we never hold more than one wedding a day; so the Hall is well and truly your house. Our ethos is to listen to what you want; we don’t enforce any off-the-shelf packages. We facilitate the day and let your creative input flourish. All our rooms are licensed for ceremonies so you can tailor the day around your personal wishes. There’s a room for every occasion.”
I first performed at Saltmarshe Hall when it was still a private residence, and though it is fully a wedding venue now, it has not lost any of its charms. Retaining beautiful period features, you really do feel at home here and weddings are always booked on an exclusive basis. The Whyte family has successfully and beautifully restored this important Georgian building.
Raven Hall Country House Hotel – Ravenscar Nr Whitby
Raven Hall Hotel in Ravenscar, between Scarborough and Whitby, has become one of the most popular venues on the North Yorkshire Coast and has one of the finest settings for your wedding, civil ceremony, reception, and wedding breakfast. The idyllic location of the Hotel, with its cliff-top views of Robin Hood’s Bay out to sea and over the North Yorkshire Moors, provides the dream location for your dream wedding.
I remember the first time I performed here, as it was actually on my own wedding anniversary. Overlooking the sea, between Scarborough and Whitby this is an idyllic venue with a beautiful rustic ceremony room. If like me, you have a love of the North Yorkshire coast, then it will be a perfect venue for your event.
