On a beautiful and sunny morning, I drove to Leek, Staffordshire to perform at the wedding of Lisa & Chris. I was joined by Jon Christos as we were booked as Singing Waiters in Staffordshire for the afternoon, it’s always a joy to have another singer to work with.
The Ashes Barns is on the estate of a beautiful country manor, off the beaten track up a private road surrounded by glorious grounds, a stunning lake, and rolling countryside. A perfect venue for a wonderfully rustic feel.

We had to be covert, as the guests were having their drinks reception outside the venue so we needed to sneak our equipment into the venue while the ceremony was happening which gave us about 5 minutes to grab everything from the car and throw it through the door. Talk about cutting it fine….but we succeeded and set everything up for the surprise.

Jon kicked off the surprise opening with ‘Funiculi Funicular and I joined in halfway through for a double whammy surprise. The guests were lively, ready to join in and we had a fantastic time.
I was also booked to perform as the DJ for the evening, met some wonderful guests and fellow suppliers and I hope Lisa and Chris can hold on to the many memories that were created on their special day.

All the best for your future together and thanks for booking us to be your Singing Waiters for the day!
We managed to record a little bit of footage of the waiter show….. the guests were fantastic sports!

Photography for the day was supplied by the lovely Ian France and as well as being a genuinely friendly guy – he is an amazing photographer. If you’re looking for a photographer in the Staffordshire area, check him out!
