Singing Waiters in Yorkshire
Sunday took me to a fairly local venue in Leeds, West Yorkshire where I was to surprise the Groom, Mark as a singing waiter at the Crowne Plaza. I was booked by his lovely bride Catherine who kept it a complete secret.
I arrived at the venue early and kept myself hidden in the bar while the ceremony happened. Sat with my Starbucks preparing myself for my first singing waiter job since the pandemic started. I was super excited because it is fantastic to be back doing this!
Once the ceremony was over, I brought in my equipment while the drinks reception happened so the guests didn’t see me. Keeping it on the down-low! Once the equipment was in place, I dressed to match the venue staff and checked in with the events team to see how I could get involved to keep up to pretense. I served starters, drinks top-ups for wine, and once the mains were down… SING TIME!!!!!
As you can see from the video we had a WHALE OF A TIME! It was an absolute pleasure to perform at Catherine & Mark’s wedding and along with their guests, we managed to create some fantastic memories that they can look back on for years to come!
