7th August 2021, was the long-awaited wedding of Sarah and James at the beautiful Telfit Farm, Richmond. Driving up the long private road, past the rolling hills of the North Yorkshire dales I was confronted by a small army of sheep! A fantastic setting, in complete solitude with nature and even devoid of phone signal. It was strange to have a whole day without the interruption of my mobile phone, but interesting as it made me pay more attention to my surroundings, talk more, and take in the beautiful location.
We started the day with a small intimate ceremony within the ceremony barn. Sarah & James chose to have me sing their ceremony music which included ‘A Thousand Years’ by Christina Perri and ‘Dreams’ by Fleetwood Mac. (One of my personal favourites – huge Stevie Nicks fan)
The drinks reception was held in the main house, and we were blessed with some wonderful weather for the afternoon which allowed the photographer (Victoria Edwards Photography) to capture some wonderful images. Following this, the amazing wedding breakfast provided by Yorkshire Flavours. I can attest to the amazing food on offer as I was lucky enough to be offered a wonderful main of Halibut followed by a delightful dessert of a chocolate mousse (DIVINE!)
I then joined the guests in the evening to perform my evening sets and DJ services which were CRAZY FUN!. A whole night of dancing, firepits, and the beautiful Yorkshire air. A wonderful ending to a beautiful day. The wedding planner Nikki Gray (Freelancer Unleashed) was super organised, lovely to deal with, and created a very special wedding for this amazing couple.
